You Must Visit This in Bangkok! A Day at #1 Dog Park
Hey Paul, what is the name of the condo complex you’re currently in please? Great video by the way! 😊
When both you and Mike said the word for year, you both said พี it should be ปี . Also your comment that learning to read mostly only will help in pronunciation. It will increase your vocab and sentence structure greatly. If you watch most foreigners that are fluent they all have learnt to read and write Thai. Many have even got a degree from a Thai Uni or done a asian studies program.
What kind of work do you do ?❤
How do you earn an income there and what kind of pension/retirement will you have?
Nice building you got no taste those condo's are shity small boxes
"I'm not a real woman". Liberals in america would call you transphobic over this comment 🤣
Are you smoking drugs there? Smell would be terrible there.😮
Just wait till you're actually fluent, they won't say you're so good at Thai any more 555555. The better you actually speak, the higher their expectations are. They still really appreciate it though.
As a Thai who understand english , really glad you guy learning Thai language😊
Certain types of people make up whats good or bad about the County you live in. These certain type of people can ruin everything about a County, State or City. Especially when the subject of safety and crime is the subject. We all from the United States know the problems we face and why a lot of us are choosing to leave and live a safer and more healthier life style. Hopefully, these countries like Thailand won't have to go through what the US is going through with these certain people that will ruin their Country.
i think it's in a way disrespectful to not even try to learn the language...it's exactly how i feel being an american...i don't like when there's people here that lived here forever and know NO english, and expect americans to have a translator...i def don't wunna be that person in thailand
So inspiring! Enjoyed watching you guys.
Asia just feels like home for Asians! I especially recommend it as a guy, it psychologically undoes a lot of damage Anglo Saxon societies do to us. Girls too
❤❤❤
You guys are 100% right
The average salary for Thai people is around $500/month so you need to remember things are relative and this rent would be 80% of the monthly salary here in Thailand.
Bro can you help me find a apartment like this for 3 months ,
Wow - super cool lady 😊She seems so comfortable with her life in BKK. Great sense of humor and just living her best life. Thanks for the intro Paul.
Luxury but quite pricey. Your thai language is ok
I'm aunty, Thai. Pleased to know both of you love living in Thailand cause you are so nice, soft and polite. Thanks for your contributions to Thai society particularly when Mike mentioned about his willing to pay taxes. 😢 ❤ ทั้งสองคนน่ารักมากค่ะ
Great tips guys. When I was in Japan learning the language I also watched the same TV dramas multiple times and wrote down many words/ phrases on mini flash cards to study during the week. So many ways to keep it real. Planning to move to BKK in early 2025. Love both of your RUclips channels.😊
Nice video 😊
Any recommendation on how to get started in learning Thai? Any resources?
Agree it’s important to learn Thai if folks intend to stay long-term. Foreigners need to recognize we’re guests here. So, I find it unfortunate when I learn of foreigners who’ve been here for many years and don’t care to learn Thai. It’s insidious, actually, as their interests are selfish - to consume and take advantage of the lifestyle that affords them here with no desire to bend and integrate themselves to their host country.
Being an independent and fully functioning human and well as not being a burden in a group situation is how I look at it. If people have to constantly stop what they are doing or talking about to translate and explain things to the foreigner who doesn't understand it really messes with the flow of communication. Sure the banter is fun but being able to step out of the expat bubble and interact with people who are not focused making a living from foreigners is a real eye opener.
I am Thai. I always appreciate and respect foreigners who try to speak Thai. It doesn't have to be perfect. Your Thai is very good for someone who has been in Thailand for 2 years. You are smart!
It's not because more girls than guys, it's because more humble thai girls than conceited foriegners
It's not the ratio. Too many good looking thai girls who not as conceited as foriegners. Foriegners ain't have no chance especially if you're a girl.
Pretty basic. She sounds too lovely and feminine
Your girlfriend is beautiful son!
As a Thai, I think the hardest part for foreigner is "Thai" language has difference level for just one word/phrase depend on situation : for formal official letter, for polite speaking with older, for polite speaking with employer or employee, for speaking with friends, or speaking with close friends. Have a nice day in Thailand.
Concure l love Thailand l live in the Dominican Republic which is outstanding but l miss Thailand. Now l have a dog and a cat so cant go back unless l find baby sitters 😅😅 1:46
Your Creep cover is not bad😊
Thumbs up 👍
yo this guy mike is cool - actually got me thinking abt learning vietnamese (i'll be there next month!)
As a Thai, Thai language of you both are so good.
Nah, go ahead and criticize/judge. I'm three years here now and still shit at Thai, but I'm grinding away at it. My fellow expats (retired westerners) are by and large a disgrace when it comes to learning the local language. I see guys every day that have been here 10+ years and can't give a cab driver directions. It's pathetic. If you plan on living in a foreign country and *don't* plan on learning the language; you have a bad plan.
They have little gadgets (scales) you can use to weigh your airline baggage ahead of time.
learning phasa Thai is definitely a challenge for me. however su su na krap. khawp khun mak krap 🙏 for this wonderful video. this video has made me more motivated to keep going and learning phasa Thai. i hope to get to a your guys level one day. i am a white belt Thai speaker (4 months) 555 kho hey bpen wan thi dii krap! 😊
This advice is so solid if you're going to be in Thailand! Truly opens your doors.
I think 5-10 years ago a lot of Thai guys like western women but then K-pop and k drama and Netflix happened and now it’s all about East Asian looks
How much do you pay for rent i make $3k evrey month online and i am thinking to move to Thailand or Philippines
Thank you for learning our language.
Put the overage (clothes) into a pillow case and take the pillow into the cabin as your personal item.
Easier said , " Then done , "I have been here three years, and after making a concerted effort every day to.kearn thai I rarely am understood when speaking Thai due to the tones I'm not giving up at present, but unless there is,a,remarkable improvement, I will have to consider remaining here , I agree with you that it is,paramount to, be able to live here long-term to speak thai otherwise you will feel isolated worthless and like being stuck in a bubble
You'll have to find a good thai teacher! It's much easier than trying alone or using textbooks/flashcards.
Good video Paul. Everything you and Mike discussed about the benefits of speaking Thai are very true, but also you can simply enjoy yourself and the country much more when you learn the local language.
I am 65 living in Chiang Mai and I live among the locals by choice. I am currently taking Thai in a language school. Since I am living here I want to experience it all. I can go a whole week without speaking to an English speaking foreigner.
Great to hear. How long have you been in CM ?
I agree 100% learning Thai is a must if your planning on staying long term communication is so important and you don't realize it until you go to a foreign country. Being able to express your thoughts and feelings is what makes you feel alive.
Thank you Paul for your video. Great content. I just came back to the states recently from Bangkok. Love Thailand. I wish you continuous the best. Maybe join you soon :)
His Thai is very good for a foreigner who has lived in Thailand for only 2 years. Keep up the good work!
